For any additions you made in BackerKit, pre-orders, or any payments that did not process at the end of the Kickstarter campaign, please ensure your payment information is up to date, valid, and ready to be processed by July8, 2022. On that date, I will instruct BackerKit to lock down and process all outstanding payments.
Confirm Delivery Information - July 22, 2022
Please ensure your shipping information is up-to-date with your expected address for August/September 2022. Please ensure that this information is entered and correct by July22. After this point, I will take the shipping information we have for you in BackerKit and provide that to our fulfillment partners, so they can schedule the picking and packing of orders, with plans to begin shipping hopefully not long thereafter.
On July22, I will send out a 48 HOUR NOTICE with the delivery information we have in the system and a link in case you need to update or modify. After those 48 hours, the delivery information will be considered confirmed and locked in our system.

As you may remember, a few weeks back Onyx Path held their third annual Virtual Gaming Convention. I've got one of the Actual Play sessions to share with you from that weekend.

Remember that Stretch Goal? Yeah, it may be fuzzy - it's been about 17 months since the campaign ended back at the end of 2020. The world has been through quite a ride during that time, and the Onyx Path crew were bucked around quite a bit, but following on the backer PDF and the coming-soon hardcover, I've got another quick reward to sneak out to you.

Order Lockdown Schedule - In Anticipation of August Shipping

Hello Heroes of the Hornsaw,
I've been waiting on this post for a bit, just waiting to have a confirmed "submitted to printer" note from the Onyx Path team. I know that a cascade of printing and manufacturing issues have thrown schedules off, and Onyx Path is now working with their printer within strict scheduling windows. But, it looks like Dead Man's Rust is (hopefully) going to print within the next few months.
So, in anticipation of the hardcover book shipping in August or early September, let's lockdown our final orders (so I can provide final order quantities to the team), process any outstanding BackerKit payments (so all Add Ons or upgrades are covered) and confirm shipping information for hardcover recipients.
Phew, that's a lot to take in. Let me see if I can break it down.

I'll begin locking down all orders on June24, 2022. This means that, once they're locked down, you won't be able to shift your pledge tier or add any additional Add On options. These will firm up the counts for our distribution partners so they can figure out deliveries.
On June24, I will send out a 48 HOUR NOTICE with a link for you to double check your pledge and items to ensure they're set up the way you want.

I don't have to say too much here, do I? I'm moving forward with a lot of assumptions that things will work out as planned, but we've learned that unexpected complications are lurking around every corner. I'll keep in touch with Onyx Path as best possible and we can adjust these dates as/if needed.
For now, just review your BackerKit order list and ensure that it's got everything you want. I'll send out the 48 Hour Notices as mentioned. Also, I'm here to help. If there are any issues, get in touch and I'll sort everything as best I can.
Since this may be a tight printing window, there could be a few projects all happening around the same time, so there will be lots of moving parts and potential issues. I don't know exactly how long it'll take to ship things out, but I'll work with our fulfillment partners to get everything out as quickly as manageable. The delivery side of this may be an ongoing project, but we'll get there! Don't worry - we'll have lots of opportunities to make sure we're set up for success as long as the external factors all cooperate.

Hello Heroes of the Hornsaw,
It's been about 4 weeks since our backer PDF for Scarred Lands: Dead Man's Rust went out, so there won't be anything quite so exciting in this update! Instead, we'll review where we are and share some info about the upcoming third annual Onyx Path Online Game Convention.
I do hope everyone's had a chance to dig in to the Dead Man's Rust PDF - there's a whole world in that book!
REWARDS STILL PENDING
Alt text: Our main book is now undergoing corrections before moving to full indexing, our Vigil Watch companion is in post-editing development, and the VTT packs are at the very beginning of starting to be sorted.
So the team is now incorporating your feedback to finalize the PDF. They need to do these adjustments so that any shifts in the layout that affect page numbers are set so indexing can be completed. There's a lot of info in this book, and you wanna be able to jump to the right page!

Remember last week, when I sent out our month end update and said the team was proofing the Backer PDF but "wasn't quite there yet?"
Well, they're there now.
Because it's time to send out the Backer PDF for Scarred Lands: Dead Man's Rust!
SCARRED LANDS: DEAD MAN'S RUST
At the Night of Chronicles in the city of Leoni, the adventurers enjoy a wild revel. Opportunity arises when the aging bard Dradoki Bronzeleaf hires the party to escort him to the Broadreach Horizon. The perilous voyage takes the group through titanspawn infested lands, but should they survive, they arrive at the last bastion of uncorrupted wood in the Hornsaw Forest. There they meet the clans of the Broadreach elves and a century of hollow legionnaires dispatched to the Forest of Blood to offer aid and friendship.
But a dark shadow looms over the accursed wood. The necromancers of Glivid-Autel sew corruption and death throughout the Hornsaw Forest. Legionnaires, elves, and dwarves go missing. A horrific infection appears, seeming to target the legionnaires. The people of Broadreach call upon the adventurers to stand against these foul machinations that threaten peace, prosperity, and life itself across central Ghelspad. The party may find allies in the Broadreach Horizon, the Gleaming Valley, and perhaps even the bloody canopies of the Hornsaw Forest, if they are brave enough to answer the call to adventure!

This is the first version of Scarred Lands: Dead Man's Rust to be released. We've sent you these initial Backer PDFs for three reasons:
1) Who wants to wait?! These projects can take a long time to turn into final releases - you know that - and the Onyx Path team wants to get them into your hands as quickly as possible!
2) To thank you for your support! This project, literally, is a direct result of your support during the Kickstarter campaign. You deserve to see it before anyone else!
3) To make the final version the best it can be! The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.
With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the DeadMan's Rust Feedback Form!
Generally, they try to keep errata collection open for the next 2 weeks, so please report what you can as soon as possible to make sure we're getting everything covered. They already know about the Page XX notations - those are in place, waiting for your corrections to be complete so they can finalize all of the page numbers and locations and start on indexing.
They won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form.
After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), we will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.
You've already made the book a reality with your Kickstarter support. Now you can make it even better by helping us crowdsource any minor errors and corrections.

April 2022 Update

We're close but not quite there yet. Let's jump right in to our regular month end reward review.
REWARDS STILL PENDING

The layout is finished for our main book, Scarred Lands: Dead Man's Rust. Right now, it's going back and forth between the development team and layout getting any little issues identified and corrected, and then will be reviewed by all of the Onyx Path team before it's ready to go out to all of us! We're getting close!
Our Vigil Watch Stretch Goal focusing on the Kelder Mountains has finished up in editing and is now going through a final round of development before art direction and layout can begin on that project. Once both of these books are completed, the other rewards should be able to draw from them fairly quickly. Anyway, still road ahead, but we seem to be further down it every month.
